My Experience
Most designers learn in agencies. I learned by co-founding BuildMyStory, an AI classroom publishing platform, and shipping it to 10,000 students. The feedback loop was real classrooms, not crits.
I owned the product design entirely: student creation flows, teacher onboarding, parent consent, AI safety states, printed book ordering. The degree that got me there was Civil Engineering with Architecture, which taught me to design holistically. You cannot just think about one part in isolation.
I also built this portfolio myself. Designed in Figma, shipped with Claude Code and Vercel. Getting closer to the code has changed how I think about design, and I am actively pushing further into that gap.

I designed and helped build an AI classroom publishing platform now used by 10,000 students across the US. I owned the full product experience, from how a student creates their first story to how a printed book lands on their desk. That included teacher onboarding, parent consent, AI safety states, and the monetisation model behind printed books.
